The knowledge of the occupation of the squares as a function of time is an important factor in the definition of government actions. In the present study, it was observed that the flow of people is representative in the square from 7:00 am, with the disembarkation of buses, with the majority just passing through the square, while few people remain in the space, to have coffee or wait for someone . After 8:00 am, the circulation of passersby is greater and continuous, with couples of lovers, informal traders, students and the people who wait for the buses the ones who stay the longest.

After 2 pm, the flow of people decreases and the busiest space is the bus stop. From 3 pm, some informal vendors start to leave the place, and in the late afternoon, few are in the square.

At 5 pm, when students start to leave school, the flow of people increases and fruit vendors arrive. Commercial stores start to close at 6 pm, making the informal trade increase sales of fruits, chocolates, water, soft drinks, chips and transportation vouchers, until 7:30 pm. At 9 pm, the couples and boyfriends waiting for the buses are the ones who use the square most, which is practically dark, due to the various burnt-out lamps, which causes insecurity.

There are two points of commerce that operate until 8 pm. On Saturday, starting at 12 noon, the same traders use the shaded space of the square to place chairs and tables. On Sunday morning, the square is used by few people, but it is possible to find couples of lovers, people waiting for the buses and the presence of ice cream / popsicle vendors and transportation vouchers.
